An optical RPM probe, compatible with both RCbenchmark 1520 and 1580 series. Simply connect this probe to the “Servo1” plug, and you are good to go. It comes with reflective tape. The instructions to setup and install the probe are in the RCbenchmark software.

This probe is OPTIONAL. The RCbenchmark Series 1520 and 1580 already come with an “Electrical” rpm probe. This electrical probe taps into the motor’s phase signal to extract the motor rotation speed. In most cases it works very well. Use this optical probe if you have issues with the electrical probe, for very low KV motors, or if you want to use brushed motors.
